Gentle, Thorough, Preventive Care for Lifelong Oral Health
At Kin Dental, your oral health is our priority — and it all starts with a thorough check-up and clean. These appointments aren’t just routine; they’re an essential part of protecting your teeth, gums, and overall well being. Whether it's your first visit or you're a regular patient, we’re here to make your experience calm, comfortable, and comprehensive.
-
Even when your teeth feel fine, issues like decay, gum disease, and enamel erosion can quietly develop. Regular check-ups help us detect and manage problems early — before they become complex or costly to treat. Think of it as a wellness check for your smile.
We recommend most patients attend every 6 months, though we tailor this to your individual needs.

Dental Fillings
What Are Dental Fillings?
Dental fillings are used to repair teeth affected by decay, cracks, or wear. Once the damaged portion of the tooth is gently removed, we restore the space with a strong, tooth-coloured material that seals the area and rebuilds the natural shape of your tooth.
Why You Might Need a Filling:
Cavities or early decay
Chipped or cracked teeth
Tooth wear from grinding or erosion
Replacing old or failing restorations
Types of Fillings We Offer
We use only premium, biocompatible materials that are selected for both durability and aesthetics:
Composite Resin: Tooth-coloured and versatile blending seamlessly with your tooth. Ideal for front and back areas.
Ceramic Fillings: Durable, stain-resistant porcelain fillings for larger cavities, offering a long-term solution with a greater strength and aesthetics.
Temporary Fillings: Short-term protection until permanent restorations can be provided, this offers the ability to temporarily postpone larger treatments.
Each filling is custom-shaped and polished to fit your bite perfectly and look just like your natural tooth.
What to Expect at Your Visit
Step 1
Examination & Planning
A dentist will thoroughly examine the tooth and may recommend additional x-rays to assess the extent of damage.
Step 2
Removal of Decay
The damaged portion of the tooth is removed while preserving as much healthy structure as possible.
Step 3
Restoring the cavity
The dentist will select the ideal material strength and colour for your filling, and restore the lost tooth structure.
Step 4
Shaping and Polishing
Your new filling is contoured and polished to ensure it fits comfortably and looks natural.
Caring for Your Fillings
With good brushing, flossing, and regular check-ups, your filling can last many years. We’ll keep an eye on it during your routine visits to make sure everything stays in great shape.
Dental Crowns & Bridges
Crowns and Bridges can be made from different materials like ceramic, zirconia and different metals. At Kin Dental we personalise the selection of materials to purposefully craft restorations that are beautiful and long-lasting.
Whether you’ve experienced decay, trauma, or tooth loss, we’re here to help you move forward — with restorations crafted not just to last, but to inspire confidence every day.
What Are Dental Crowns?
A dental crown is a custom-made cap that is placed over a damaged, weakened, or heavily restored tooth. Think of it as a protective shell that restores the tooth’s shape, strength, and function — while also improving its appearance.
Crowns may be recommended for:
Teeth with large fillings or decay
After root canal treatment
Severely worn or eroded teeth
Discoloured or misshapen teeth
Cosmetic enhancements
What Are Dental Bridges?
A dental bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring an artificial tooth (or teeth) to the adjacent natural teeth or implants. It quite literally “bridges the gap” left by missing teeth.
Bridges can:
Restore your smile and confidence
Improve chewing and speech
Maintain facial structure and alignment
Prevent teeth from shifting out of place
Be an alternative to implants
The Treatment Process
Step 1
Consultation & Planning: A detailed examination and discussion of your needs and goals to determine the best crown or bridge for your needs.
Step 2
Tooth Preparation: We remove and rebuild any diseased or damaged tooth structure and carefully shape the affected tooth (or teeth) to make the ideal space for the crown or bridge.
Analog or digital Impressions: After preparation we take impressions to capture an accurate replica of your teeth to precisely craft your future restoration. The impressions will be sent to our partner dental labs and their technicians will masterfully create precise fitting and beautiful restorations.
Temporary Restoration: You’ll receive a temporary crown or bridge to protect your shaped tooth while our trusted dental lab handcrafts your final restoration.
Step 3
Fitting the permanent restoration: Once ready, your final crown or bridge is placed. We’ll ensure it feels comfortable, functions naturally and looks beautiful.
